The ODT consists of two files: setup.exe and configuration.xml. For more information, see Overview of the Office Customization Tool. With the Office Customization Tool, you can easily create and modify configuration files in a web-based interface. You can continue to create the configuration file in a text editor, but we recommend using the Office Customization Tool instead. Once your computer restarts the uninstallation of Microsoft Office is complete.Best practice: The options in this article show the XML elements and attributes in the configuration file. Remember, your computer will restart after the program is complete and this window closes.The windows will close once the program is complete. DO NOT CLOSE ANY WINDOWS OR USE YOUR COMPUTER WHILE THE PROGRAM IS RUNNING. This may take from 15 to 30 minutes depending on your computer’s hardware. After the program verifies that the computer is not on the ‘MARQNET’ domain, it will begin to uninstall all Microsoft Office components.At this point the program will shut down and Microsoft Office will not be uninstalled. If your computer is on the ‘MARQNET’ domain, the program will alert you that this cannot run on your computer. If the computer is not on the domain the program will continue to run. The program will now check if the computer is on Marquette’s domain.Please read and accept the license agreement popup.Once you are ready to start the program double click the script called “Marquette Agreement” and the program will run. Once the folder called “Office Uninstall” is dragged to the desktop, double click the folder within the desktop and a new window will open.This program will only work from your desktop. You will need to drag the folder called “Office Uninstall” to your desktop.After you have downloaded the zipped folder called “office-uninstall.zip” double click the folder.
Download the Microsoft Office uninstaller program.Please close down everything and save any files you need. Also be aware that this will completely uninstall Microsoft Office and will restart your computer immediately after the program is complete.
